The Best Laid Plans

When I began this blog, I meant to post regularly. Then, life intervened. I am living in a different state now, virtually trapped in a city, with only one of my beloved cats. Tristan died on 25 January 2016. His sister, despite my fears, survived his loss. Between one thing and another, it has been almost four years since I posted that one lonely post. Despite my good intentions, I don't know when I'll manage to post again. In the meantime, I've written at least a million words, so that time was not all wasted.

Since not a single person has read this blog, I don't even know why I'm bothering to provide this update. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I'd forgotten I even started this one, with all that happened right after that, and when I was poking around in Blogger and found it, I felt compelled to at least post a quick update. Perhaps I'll try to write more thoughtful posts, although I make no promises. Executive function is not any autistic person's best quality.

Yes, if anyone ever reads this, it is a very random post. I wasn't really planning on writing one at the moment, and when the "need" cropped up, I just started typing away. When I was used to blogging, it might have gone somewhere. Now, most of my writing is poetry or trying to finsh various stories or novels I've started but never completed. In that mental gear, it's very hard to write a good blog post. My attention is all over the place tonight as well, which doesn't improve the quality of the post.
